i didn't see them at the oscars, does anyone know why they werent there?

I believe that she is still in mourning for her mother, she was critized for being "down" at the Grammy's, when her mother was sick, and probably did not want to risk it. Also she probably is still too sad to party. (My Mom died 7 1/2 years ago, and I'm still sad when I think of it.) Her Mom was only in her 50's so its very sad.
