Not that good?? Seriously, when you think of fullback who is the guy that comes to mind for most NFL fans.....Mike Alstott. He's been a staple with Tampa Bay for some time now, actually won a Super Bowl with Tampa, a 6 time Pro Bowler and is one of the few fullbacks in the league who still carries the ball on a regular basis.

He also leads the Tampa Bay Buccaneers team record in touchdowns scored at 68 (remember, we're talking about a fullback here). And beyond the numbers he's been a fan favorite in Tampa as long as he's been there. As a Bucs fan who has watched him since he started in 1996, I would be very very disappointed if they didn't at least retire his jersey (I can understand not retiring his NUMBER due to avaliability issues). He deserves it for being revolutionary at his position.

I believe it should be retired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of all that he has done for that franchise. They rarely retire a number for the whole league anyways so I don't think that will happen.

He's a good player, but there's no need for # retiring. I mean, come on. If all players of Alstott's caliber had their # retired, there'd be no # left.

his jersey should be retired, yes, his number, no. that's the way they do it to prevent retiring too many numbers and running out.
