My VP asked me to process an invoice, but I never have, can someone tell me how so I don't look stupid to him?

You do not look stupid when you ask how to do something that you have not been trained to do. Own up and tell him you need some training. There are many different meanings of the term "process", adn your company probably has a unique way of doing it.
