Hubby and I want to have a baby, I've been charting my ovulation, etc. Did the deed right in the middle of my ovulation cycle, which was last Wednesday. I have had that gut feeling since. Tightness, soreness in my lower back/pubic bone area, and in just a few days I can't get my jeans buttoned (CRISIS! lol). Is 5 days seriously too soon to have symptoms? I have a 3 year old, but I don't remember having symptoms like these in the beginning. We both REALLY want this, and I'm trying hard not to psyche us both out, but common sense tells me that within 5 days after sex is just WAY too soon.

Anyone with any personal experience or thoughts?

I should have mentioned this. I don't have any of the "I THINK I'm pregnant" symptoms, like sore breasts or feeling like I'm going to puke any second. I just have that tight feeling in my girly bits, and a constant dull headache. Oh and the huge fact that my jeans dont fit, when they've ALWAYS fit. darnit. :)

it may very well be wishful thinking, but you do notice the pregnancy symptoms sooner with subsequent babies. the best advice i can offer is to put it in the back of your mind and just go about your life for the next few weeks. there is no use stressing about it now and stressing that possibly budding baby. it will happen if it is to happen. best of luck.

Honestly yes, I am in your shoes right now. Unfortunately all the signs of pregnancy in the beginning are also signs of AF...since you BD only one day during ovulation your chances are lowered, but NOT obsolute. So don't panic, relax wait out your 5 days as well as I...{ps I freaked out too...LOL} and then when AF is 2/3 days late then test...testing to soon is going to drive YOU nuts...and with the way the tests read today it could offer a false positive, it may only get the HCG level from the fertilized egg, however if that egg does not find an implantation home it won't stick...again come join me I am also 5 days out, AF due 3/3!!!
