Why are some people against interracial marriages?

Or interracial dating, relationships, ect.

I'm totally for it but I don't understand why some people are so against it.

because some people are ignorant racists. They don't like mixing/mixed races becuase they think it is taboo or will mess up their Arian race. Dirty it you might say.

They are uncomfortable with change and with thinking "outside of the box". They fear that their lives could possibly be touched with this change and that the next generation could look different, not like them.

I am all for interracial marriages/relationships myself as I am in one. I think it is a beautiful thing when people from different races, cultural backgrounds can meet in the middle and blend into one. That's how this world should be.

It basically starts at home, it the not understanding of other people culture and one wouldn't understand how the other culture operates. Like you wouldn't understand on how being black in America unless you are actually a blk person and it the same for any other race. So society thinks why would some one from a different races would actually understand what a particular race is thinking unless they are actually from that race themselves. Personally it doesn't really matter because "LOVE" doesn't have a color its "COLORBLIND"

simple because there are racists. people dont like to see other people happy especially if they are single. sometimes its just because they might not want people to get hurt. it can be difficult for mixed child to find their identity. I think you cant be half of anything but you can be human. I've heard some black women talk about it is a disgrace for black men to date non-black women. I also know that some white men dont want their daughters talking to black men. Most of the time I think the interracial problems are between black and white people due to slavery in the past but thats just my opinion. Love comes in all colors and I think people should not limit themselves to their race because they might miss out on love.

Because they have some notion about the purity of their race being despoilt by it. And also some people, men really, seem to be against it out of jealousy. They're not going out with the pretty girls, so why should someone who isn't even the same colour/race be able to???

People are ignorant of the fact that racial distinctions are superficial and minor. Genetic evidence has proven that there are no pure-bred races. Every white person has some black African and Asian ancestors. Every European has a certain percentage of Jewish ancestry, whether they like it or not, even Hitler. It is a statistical and indisputable fact.

As a 45 year old, old school white man from the south, I tell you I love it. Wanna know why? All of the IR couples I have met were very nice couples and I liked them a lot. I have an IR couple that live two doors down from me and they are our favorite neighbors.

I personally love IR couples.

There are thousands of reasons out there, but I wish people would call it what it is: It doesn't have much to do with race, it has everything to do with color. I think mixing up colors is pretty!

They are just ignorant of other races and very close-minded.. I don't understand the problem, I think it's great if thats who you want to be with !
