As it turns out, skater clothes are the only thing fat guys look good in.
You should wear thick (the fabric) shorts w/o pleats and smaller rear pockets. Extra pockets on rear and sides will add extra girth and look sloppy. If you can afford it, climbing pants are the most flattering: North Face, Prana.
Wear your shorts with a T-shirt. Raggedy only looks good on thin guys, so make sure your shirts are in good condition (no tears, bleach stains).
Always wear a long sleeved button shirt, open (not buttoned) over your T-shirt. The long sleeve shirt should be brushed flannel, thin wale courderoy, or denim (but not blue).
If it's cold, wear a hooded sweatshirt.

first off, you dont need skater clothes to look like a skater.
But if you really do want the skater look, then get a hurley hat, and curve the brim as much as you can (do not tip it sideways and leave the brim flat, thats more gangsta then skater)
Then wear jeans, and a T-shirt, not a tight t shirt, but not too baggy either. Dont wear tight jeans, thats lame.
GOOD LUCK!

As long as Hurley has your size of clothing, I don't see why there should be a problem with you dressing like a skater. :)

That's an awesome brand. I board also and trust me I'm not a toothpick either. I wear it all the time. Hey maybe layer some shirts too. Don't get discouraged when the first couple items of clothes don't fit. Some brands run small. Also I go surfing too and O'Neal is also a great brand.

alrite, one question not to be mean, but if you are overweight then how do u skateboard that good?? i hav lots of skater friends, and for one i would suggest u to grow your hair out, and maybe try to loose a little bit of weight. but it depends on what you look like for what to wear. I would try Hurley i guess.

It doesnt matter what you look like or what you wear, you dont have to wear skater clothes to skate board.
If you still choose to wear them, unfortunatly they are mostly made for very skinny people. its kinda weird actually how i think about it. But its an unfortunate truth. Try wearing hoodies and jeans! that way its not showing soo much fat.

thats the thing about the skater look. its baggy. do you think there are that many skaters with bodies that women want? NO. so the clothes are baggy so you can put your imagination to work. anyone looks good in skater clothes. but being a skater isnt about looking like one. its about being yourself and doing what you want. being free. remember that. please dont be another to fall into the stereotype!!! im begging you.
