I will be completing my BA in 1 week, but want to apply for a masters program that starts in 1 month. Do I have to wait until my bachelor's degee is posted on my transcript before I can apply to the masters program?

Your best bet would be to ask the school directly. I doubt its a problem though. They usually require a degree to be posted before you can begin, but I would ask. Maybe you could show them proof of graduation that would be sufficient until everything is official. It sounds like you should be ok. As long as you send them a final transcript and it is legit, you can probably be admitted. But really-CALL them or e-mail to find out. You can DEFINITELY apply, but you might not be able to attend until it's posted.

You are probably too late already - you have to check with the school to see when their admissions close, and what requirements must be met. Most universities require taking the graduate record exam for admittance, along with letters of recommendation. It will be pretty hard to pull all of that together in less than a month. One thing a lot of students do is enroll as a non-degree student without being accepted. This way you can take most or all of the same classes, then get admitted officially in the fall.

Usually not. Nearly all won't make you wait. Even if a grad school requires you to have a BA, their applicants typically apply before they've actually graduated. There's just the expectation that you'll finish.

It's just like high school. Most people to college during the end of junior year or at the beginning of senior year. Either way, they're still in high school while applying to college.

You are actually a semester late in the process. Most people apply to graduate programs during the Fall semester of their senior year. Most graduate programs have already decided who to admit.
