Twenty weeks they are able to do an ultrasound and determine the sex. Although I have read that its a lot earier than that like 8 weeks or something but I dont think that they can tell at the point thats just when either the things for a girl/boy start growing.

Your ultrasound to determine sex would be scheduled around 20 weeks, but I have been told that as soon as 16 weeks they could tell, just more accurate at 20 weeks

You can register for a free fertility/pregnancy calendar at http://www.fertilitygal.com and add your due date to your calendar. It gives you inside the womb pictures and a short blurb about what is happening to your baby day by day. Its pretty cool. It says that the sex is identifiable around day 130 (week 19).
