I would find out what strengths and weaknesses your high school team has. Concentrate on one of the weaknesses, one that you feel your skills and size might fit.
If you have some natural athletic skills and smarts, think about the fullback position. You have to understand the offense and blocking assignments, so study the playbook well. If the fullback position is a team strength, maybe a special team player for a year?
Good luck.

Fullback may be best to incorporate your size and skills. If your coach sees that you can catch and get yards after the catch they may run some plays for you.
Tight end may work, but it depends on if your team runs a lot. If so, they may be looking for a bigger tight end.
Try all of the spots you can when the opportunities present themselves. You never know.

Well too small for most defensive positions.
I would say you're best shot is tight end but you might be too short for that.
Other bet is a fullback. Actually, that's you're best bet.
Speed and can catch the ball when needed, not afraid to be tackled....yeah, you would fit there.

I think your coach will decide that when you try out. If you are playing for the first time, you are in for a challenge because a lot of the boys have probably been playing for years and years and have a lot of experience. My son's been playing for 6 yrs and he's only 10!!!!

personally i love playing safety because it is the funnest position to play. You get to hid kids as hard as u want, the best feeling in the world. And nothing beats getting an interception and returning it all the way.

You need to catch good to be a wide reciever. So at that height try out for a Saftey or cornerback.

Try going both ways. On defense you sound like you might be a good Cornerback, and on offense I'd suggest Running Back. Try them both and see which one you like better.
