I have started a non-profit group to help the poorest of the poor in Tanzania, E. Africa. I have a website and would like to drive more people to it. This has the potential of getting more people involved in helping me and more donations? Any help is appreciated.

First of all, you should not rely on exchanging links alone. In web marketing, you should be able to try on one or more strategies to gain traffic you want for your site. I suggest that you should try submitting your url to as many sites as possible. Also, try to join forums, which have similar interests as your site offers. This will also give you the exposure you wanted. Try to write articles about your site (products/services) and submit them to different sites that cater to article submission. The people who get to read them will become interested with your site. Gaining traffic takes time. And you have to wait for at least six months to see the actual results.

the best way is to have many links of your website from other website. So that yahoo and google will accept that your website is valuable.
Have good content on your site. When visitor like your content. they will come again and spread the word to others. Good keywords. Abt keywords i dont understand that much. You can know more tips on this site. Its a free tutorial video.

Some sites help to see all traffic. But it is not sufficient. Because, traffics do not show, howmuch people see the site exactly, they just show clicking numbers that can be manipulated easiliy by site owners.

Talk to the pay-per-click search engines (Overture, AdWords) about donating displays.

Build inbound links to your website.
Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:
