This is for my sister, not me. To the person that said "do your own homework". We are doing it, but are in argument over the answer.

To answer this question all u have to do is add all the like terms. Meaning get all your x's together and all your x^2's together and so on. So the answer would be:
9x+5y^2+2x^2

Simplify?: = (4x² + 2xy - 3y²) + (2x² + 5xy - 2y²) = 4x² + 2xy - 3y² + 2x² + 5xy - 2y² = 6x² + 7xy - 5y² answer: 6x² + 7xy - 5y² ingredient?: 6x² + 7x - 5y² = 0 x² + 7/6xy = 5/6y² x² + 7/12xy = 5/6y² + (7/12y)² x² + 7/12xy = one hundred twenty/144y² + 40 9/144y² (x + 7/12y)² = 169/144y² x + 7/12y = 13/12y = x + 7/12y - 13/12y, = x - 6/12y, = x - a million/2y, = 2x - y = x + 7/12y + 13/12y, = x + 20/12y, = x + 5/3y = 3x + 5y answer: (2x - y)(3x + 5y)

combine all the x's: 2x + 7x=9x
combine all y^2: 3y^2 + 2y^2=5y^2
combine all x^2: 2x^2= 2x^2
9x + 5y^2 + 2x^2

do your own homework, but doing your homwork for you only makes me smarter, although it makes you dumber... so if you want to be dumb. keep reading for your answer.......

9x + 5y^2 + 2x^2

because a + b + c = b+ c + a

therefore you can rewrite it as 2x + 7x +3y^2 +2y^2 + 2x^2
then you can add the like terms (2x+7x) + (3y^2+2y^2) +2x^2

then your final simplified form is : 9x + 5y^2 + 2x^2

Well, there's not much to it. Just combine like terms.

It ends up being 9x + 5y^2 + 2x^2

2x + 3y^2 + 2x^2 + 7x + 2y^2

group like terms

(2x +7x) + (3y^2 + 2y^2) + 2x^2
9x + 5y^2 + 2x^2

I'm going to guess 9x+2x^2+5y^2 because everyone else got it.
