Im 17 years old and i just recently got into alot of trouble for coming home drunk. As a punishment my mother is making me wear a large diaper all the time. I dont think this is a fair punishment i am so nervous when i go to school thinking someone will see it. Lucky i dont have gym this half. She didnt tell me how long this would go on for and i am nervous that it'll go on to the summer. Is this an appropriate punishment?

I think some parents try to do something different as conventional methods (grounding etc) often don't work. They're probably trying to humiliate you. It sounds weird. I think it's important that the punishment fit the crime and this one clearly doesn't. Can you remove the diaper on the way to school and put it back on on the way home?

If you do the crime than you need to be punished and as long as you live under your mothers roof then it her say so. When you get a job then you will have some say so. Yes I feel it is right to be punished anyway parents feel fit. It is better than getting a spanking right.

Your mother does not know how to punish. If I were you, I would take the diaper off when you first get to school, and then put it back on when you get home. You then need to work on not drinking until you move out of your house, your mom doesnt sound right in her head, and I would hate to hear the punishment you would get if you did it again!

YES! or atleast maybe for a week or two. Why a diaper??? Have you "used" it yet? I would LOL jk. its a strange punishment, but a good one, hopefully you eont come hoem drunk anymore!!!!

well it is definitly different, but hey, will you think twice before being dumb next time. Some of the best punishments are the strangest. I commend your mother, at least she cares and I hope you will think more about your saftey next time.

that is crazy but you shouldn't be drinking at 17 any way just take it off its not like shes going to know and if she asks run to your room lock the door put it on then say i was just acting like you

I'd don't see how the punishment fits the crime. She should have simply grounded you not have you wear a diaper. I would consider that abuse for the detrimental effect it could have on you.

She's trying to show you what bad news drinking is. Ask your mother to trade punishments- like no X-box/ps2/psp/ipod/t.v, double or triple housework - just tell her anthor pushiment would work better for you.
