I am returning to Melbourne from being overseas for six months and looks like my property will not be vacated till April or possibly May and need to find somewhere to stay for this time.

It will be just for myself at this stage as my husband is remaining overseas while I return for a short while. Looking for something with a reasonable price for a month or possibly two months occuapancy from the 4th March.

Thanks =)

The quest apartments might be an option for you. They are on the corner of lennox st and Bridge road. Not sure about prices for that length of stay but I guess check out www.quest.com.au and contac them directly. Welcome home!!

You probably need to be established back in Melbourne for a short while to do this cheaply, so that you check the apartments out.

One suggestion is that you book one of the serviced apartment for a week, via the provided link and then speak with the building owners on arrival for a longer term rate. It's not as cheap as renting, but it is a lot less hassle than going onto http://www.realestate.com.au or http://www.gumtree.com

Try these links, one of them has a sort facility which you can run over location, star ratings and price. I didn't notice anything specifically in Richmond Hill, but there are stacks of apartments in many Melbourne suburbs - just choose one that's adjacent.

I hope it helps - good luck

Try the Quest on Chapel serviced apartments. It's just across the river from Richmond.
