You don't choose who you fall in love with, so therefore I would allow my daughter to date the person she wanted. I am not a racist nor am I a religious fanatic, I would just like my daughter to be happy with the person she fell in love with.

I don't think I'd be thrilled about it, but I'd have to judge the man based on who he is and not what I think of his religion. If he seems like a nice guy who respects her and respects other people's beliefs, then they have my blessing. If he's an arrogant person who attacks my beliefs, expects her to wear a black shroud and walk 2 paces behind him or whatever, and wants to change the person she is, then I would do whatever I could to stop it going ahead... although I can't actually see any daughter of mine being so weak-willed as to go along with that kind of scheme :)

i do no longer think of they be responsive to it, yet they worry it, and consequently they could desire to keep attempting because of the fact in the event that they provide up attempting they could have shown to themselves that the religion is a load. various the stuff is in line with a huge gamble--i don't be responsive to if this is real, yet while this is i opt for to be secure. some human beings seem no longer able to stand existence as this is and choose illusions. I doubt there is something absolutely everyone can do to get rid of those illusions.

HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The way they treat women as if our very existence is a sin! I understand that certain cultures have certain beliefs but I would never let my daughter go anywhere or convert to a religion that treats women as second class citizens or even worse- as property. I know that Christianity is guilty of this stuff too but I have to believe that women can be classy and virtuous without having to hide the face/head/physical appearance that God gave us. I'm not saying pull a Britney Spears and go naked but God didn't give me face just to cover it up. And besides, don't sexy men like Tyson Beckford or Dave Batista tempt women everytime we look at them? If we have to cover up then so do they.

First, I would hope that she doesn't feel pressured into converting to fit in with the family. Other than that, I would be loving and supportive of my daughters wishes. All I would ever want is to let my daughter become her own person, and I would be 100% behind that. I would be confident that she is intelligent and is doing what she feels is best for her.

I'd have the same issues I would have if my daughter was marrying anyone - is her husband going to respect her, will he make her happy, has she thought it through.
If I was satisfied on these points the guy could be just about any race or religion. Apart from scientology that is.

I would not be happy, but your daughter happiness is also important. Don't force the issue be rational and let your daughter make up her own mind. One thing I will say; talking from experience mixed marriages( culture ethnic) do not work out. Wish you all the best with this dilemma

you dont need to be either to be happy or unhappy - first off my daughter would come home and let me know she was dating first before announcing a wedding and then i would expect to have met him a million times before they just hook up and tie the knot - and then he would have to be everything to her regardless of culture and race - i would support my babe - and would be here for her if it didnt work out -
my parentage is mixed race and multicultural Indian/portuguese (anglo) and swedish so i dont see that being an issue

You would have to be out of your mind to want your daughter marrying a religious zealot who may very well blow her up, along with everyone else in the immediate vicinity, when he decides to detonate for allah.

I dont think you have to be a racist not to like the fact that your daughter is going to convert to a religion where the men think that women are sub-standard servants..... but if this is what your grown daughter wants, speak your thoughts, and then keep your comments to yourself after that.
