OK, include someone with a good sports knowledge, & keep up with current affairs: Read the papers, watch the news in the last weeks. Check out a current map of the world. Possible questions may include:

What was recently renamed country Z formerly known as?
What country is the river W in?
What is the capital city of country X?
Name the countries bordering country Y?
Who is President of this country?
Is Denmark a member of the EU?

Picture rounds more often feature less serious current affairs, and celebrities, and humorous items. Literature - sometimes you get the first line of a book & have to name the writer or the title. Good luck, you guys!
