they say if you put something cold (like 2 soda pops or ice cubes) on each side of your neck, it will shrink the arteries in the neck and if there is too much blood going to your head causing pain..then it will help by decreasing the brain circulation...
the ice cubes on the neck work good for nausea too(think a vagal stomach nerve runs thru the neck?)

Rub an Ice cube on your hand for an hour and then rub your temples. This should work after a while and that will tell you that the headache went away on its own and there are no natural cures. Go to the store and buy excedrin medicine. Trust me.
P.S. Don't listen to the guy about pain being somewhere else in the body and the brain cannot interpret it. That is a lie and it has been disproved by every neurologist in the world. I can't believe he made up such nonsense. I myself am a biologist and have studied brain functions and signaling pathways. Truth is, the brain has no pain receptors so the pain is actually due to pressure in areas around the brain that push up on the skull and there some pain receptors respond to it. If you would like to know more then I suggest you take a Neurobiology course.

A headache is showing a pain in another part of the body which the brain can not interpret. A very basic cure is try to be as relaxed as possible. Lay down, rest your eyes, play some relaxing music perhaps. Another cure which is less of a "home cure" is white willow bark which is basically aspirin.

Drink lots of water, and sleep for an hour or two.
Sometimes the headaches is just due to tiredness, lack of sleep or the pressures we face daily as we go about life's activities, and a simple thing like a good rest can be the solution.

Acupuncture
Semi dark room.
Make sure it is quiet.
There is a pressure spot between your thumb and forefinger. Open you hand so it makes an "L". Look at the 'fatty' part of your hand (lower part of the L) -- with your other thumb and forefinger - pinch that area. You will know if you hit it --should hurt a little, like an electric shock. When you KNOW that you have hit the spot - pinch HARD and hold it for about 30 seconds (longer if you can). Yes, it will hurt - temporarily, but your headache will shortly go away.

I get migraines and "home remedies" have never really worked for me. When I just need something to ease the pain, I will put something cold on my forehead and lie down in the dark. But here is something that will help. Go to a drugstore and ask for Tiger Balm. You rub it on your temples, sinuses, wherever your pain is. It tingles, but will relieve the pain. But I use that in conjuction with migraine medicine. The Tiger Balm helps until the medicine kicks in.
