Basically, to get an interesting job that pays a lot, you need to have outstanding ability to do something that people will pay a lot of money to have you do. It could be something like playing professional sports, or working as a test pilot. Obviously, an astronaut would fit that description.

The other area is to apply for a dangerous job, like a contractor in Iraq. They are making upwards of 80 thousand a year (which I believe is tax free). They don't spend much over there. They eat very well (at least the ones in Baghdad do).

Remember, if everybody could do the job, it wouldn't be paying a lot of money. You either need a special skill, or you have to be willing to do a job that most people wouldn't do.

Take your time deciding.... Most people don't figure out what they want to do until they are 30 yrs old. That means if you figure out what you want to do in the next 12-13 years you will be above average.

Continue with your studies, and your athletics. Michael Jordan wasn't a starter in his high school. I am sure your path will present itself in due time.

By the way, I am in Human Resources in a Manufacturing Plant.... the field pays well, not great, but I am not poor either. It's interesting because I literally work with everyone here, the CEO, the VP's, the production workers and everyone in between. I get involved with peoples families and strategic decisions. It's a great way to see how a company runs from all angles.

I don't know why its to late for you to play basketball but anyways why don't you try to be an electrician, they make alot of cash and all that electrical stuff would be interesting to know. How bout fixing computers? I hear there's tons of money in that! Everybody has one so why not do that, that would be interesting to. Good Luck!

Well..you could always try being a regular doctor if you think that you can hold back your laughter when people tell you of their problems.
