You posed the riddle wrong.
It is supposed to be, "Melody has two coins worth 15 cents. One is not a dime. What are the two coins?"
The answer is "a nickel and a dime." The one that is a nickel is "not a dime."

If you don't have a limit on what coins..it would be a nickle and a dime.
