the exact reason is nor known from the gossip during those days it was becoz of her mom as she thought karisma is a more popular ans successful actress than abhishek, but i think that must not be the case as kareena is too more popular ans succesful than shahid, there she has no problem. second gossip was that there's another heroine in the picture and looking at the things now this could have possibly true.
But i feel karisma was not ready to marry trees and idols to marry abhishek which ms. rai is doing
