It looks like Sky want more money for Sky1, Sky 2, Sky3, Sky news, and Sky sports news, and those on Virgin media TV, and those on Freeview, will no longer be available soon, unless paid for on Freeview (Just Sky 3, Sky news, and Sky sports news, currently on Freeview)

I really don't see the big deal... its business, business is competition ...Sky own the channels so they're entitled to do what they like... if you don't like it don't go there!

Sky piss me off they're holding Virgin to ransom yet making out Virgin are the bad guys and want to dump them. I won't miss Sky too much. Virgin only has Sky1 and Sky News and Sky Sports News, Sky1 is full of repeats, theres tons of news channels and I'm not a big sports fans so screw 'em!!

Have been with Sky for a long time, but moving to Virgin Media in my new flat (STC) regardless of the lost Channels. There's competition and theres abuse of market dominance. Sky's been abusive for too long. The only thing I'll miss is Sky's pathetic customer service... like a sore head. Don't hear fantastic stories about the old NTL/Telewest CS either, won't be surprised if VM is no better, but willing to give them a go.

Not really - with the exception of the occasional US import and a few episodes of the Simpsons, there's nothing on Sky 1 I'd ever actually watch. It always seems to be full of terrible shows whose sole purpose seems to be to fill out the schedule between imports. Also, the few shows I do like, like 24 and Deadwood, I prefer to watch on DVD. My boyfriend will miss Sky Sports News a little, but says he'll live.

Yeah, i think it sucks that people already signed up are going to loose out just because sky are being greedy. Don't they make enough money as it is? I think the price virgin offered was reasonable.
