He didn't win....again. I hope he has a few more good movies left in him! I hope he will win next year but, he was born in 1934 so we can't expect him to live on for many more years. I felt like crying last night when they called Forrest Whitaker (who did a great job in The LAst King of Scotland) and Peter O'Toole's face fell slightly. I love his acting especially his role as King Priam in Troy.

Yeah, I really am, especially since he probably won't get many more chances.
It's amazing that he never won for Lawrence of Arabia.
Forrest Whitaker did do a great job. Though probably not fair, I wish the Academy voters would have taken into account O'Toole's body of work and his contribution to the film industry.

I thought Will Smith should have won the Oscar for The Pursuit of Happyness, however, I did not see Whitaker's or O'Toole's films so my opinion is anything but unbiased. You are right that this may be have been O'Toole's last chance to win an Oscar, but unfortunately Oscars must be awarded according to merit and should not be handed out according to popularity or pity for any particular actor.

Yeah, I felt bad for him. Apparently since they kept making fun of him off and on... I agree that Whitaker deserved it though.
