In Shaq's luxurious career, he always had a sidekick to back him up or to be infront of him.

1. Penny Hardaway in Orlando
2. Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles
3. Dwayne Wade in Miami

But now that Wade is in a serious injury, eventually coming towards the end of the season, can Shaq carry the team on his back and go strong come playoff time?

Or can he even bring Miami to the Playoffs?

Shaq can't do it alone. Especially not now. The quickness and mobility that once made him a freak of nature are long gone. He can no longer take over a game and in general is just a slightly above average center. (which still makes him better than most centers in the league)
As far as needing a Robin to his Batman, I don't think that's a fault. Every great player to win multiple championships has done it with a great supporting cast:
Jordan, Magic, Bird, Russel, Duncan.
The playoffs are a possibility. I don't think their playoff fate rests squarely on his shoulders though. Jason Williams needs to be the playmaker, Kapono needs to stay consistent, and Haslem's gotta stay hungry. These things combined with hall of fame coaching should squeak them in.
Shaq is one of the greats, and has been a great example on and off the court for players young and old, but I think his time has passed.

Without Shaq, Hardway, Bryant, and Wade are nothing. Now, if Shaq wasn't old, and injury prone, I'd say that he can definitely carry just about any team on his back. But, I still say he can carry them to the playoffs.

The Heat isn't going to the playoffs this year Shaq had a good game but he'll run out of gas in the next 2 games. i mean he can turn it up cause Wade will take over but he'll try to hard and run out of juice

He might bring the Heat to the playoffs, but they won't go far without d-wade. Shaq and D-Wade are like Batman and Robin, you think they would be solid individually, but without the other they can't accomplish much.

Shaq isn't a 21 year old kid anymore. He's not in shape and he's way too slow. Without Wade the Heat are going no where.

I dont think Shaq can do it alone because one he is aging and body is getting worn out and two when have Shaq did anything alone every team he has a ring with he had a great leading cast

im not sure if kobe bryant was such a side kick in the lakers, i've heard he was more of a nuisance, and shaq was famous before kobe came in lakers. so i think that shaq will use his shaq fu and make it to the playoffs atleast. he's getting old though
