you deserve to be able to brag, but don't push it...
take pride and you know, bring up that you are a state finalist, but don't act like you are "too cool" or superior or something because people don't like that:D
but don't hide it:D
congratulations by the way!!!:D
you must be really beautiful:D...what state?:D
xaooooo:D

No offense seriously!! But if it's for NAmiss ( a lot of NAmiss questions here) everyone gets state finalist BUT people do not know that so when you have a meeting with a potential sponsor you can address your self as a State Finalist lol. I use it for my emails for sponsors and pageant related things!!! lol

Congrats on making State Finalist, though.

Number 1, I would not brag. Be proud. Tell folks that you've had success, but do not brag!

There's a big difference between bragging and just being proud of one's self.

Be proud, confident and sure in yourself!

Good luck!

There's a difference in telling people something you are excited about and bragging. Be yourself, be thoughtful of those around you and tell them you have something exciting to tell them. That way you are sharing something exciting about your life but not rubbing it in peoples faces. Congratulations and you deserve to be excited and share that excitement with your friends.

brag. but not too much. fake modesty is more irritating than bragging. when I got a kick *** phone, I bragged about it for one day then kept quiet the next day. my friends were congratulating me on the first day but if I kept on it till the next day i will probably find my phone with a scratch. but if i kept quiet even on the first day, my excitement would probably show and they would know that i am faking it and i would probably find my phone with two scratches.

and congratulations.

If you're a man in Ancient Greece, brag!
If you're modern Western, DON'T!
But if you can find clever ways for a pin to show, or whatever, then people are allowed to ask, see?

Ask yourself this: what, besides being born with an attractive exterior, do you have to offer? What do you do to make the world--or at least your community--a better place? How do you treat other people?

In short, is there anything worthwhile you DO that is worth bbragging about?

You can be proud without having to brag. It's annoying to brag!
