I'm mainly a country fan; she likes both pop and country.

How about the songs from the Disney movie, High School Musical, like the very popular Breaking Free, plus Bop To The Top, Get'cha Head In The Game, I Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You, Start Of Something New, Stick To The Status Quo, We're All In This Together, What I've Been Looking For and When There Was Me And You.
Or how about making a karaoke CD for your daughter. You could put her favorite songs on the CD, complete with the music and a lyrics scroll to sing along with, at http://free-karaoke-downloads.8k.com/

I'm a Mom too - and pretty out of it when it comes to popular music these days. There are CD's out there called "Now" - they number them. I think they are up to something like "Now 30" or so. You might try the most recent one of those. They seem to have a variety of popular songs of the time.

Good luck!

I advice you to tell your mom not to do that, your sister with think its a dump thing ( excuse me ) let her buy makeup , new t-shirt or a dress or giving her money , manicure , books if she like reading , believe me your sister wont like it unless she is mad about music . Rock ,pop & classic are the best .
