Signing your rights away to your child does not end your child support obligation. He can't get the money he has paid back. Just because he signs his rights away does not mean he isn't the father - he still has a legal financial obligation to support the child. THe only way his child support obligation wil be terminated is if the mother's husband legally adopts the child, thereby taking over the responsibility.

It is his child and just because they are in Aruba doesn't mean he won't have to pay child support. He can sign away parental rights but he will still have to pay child support if the mother sues him for it. That is the law.

Until the official paperwork is signed he is still responsible for the child's support, it might help to contact the mother and say if she is not going to sign the papers then send the child home to him for his custodial visit since he is paying support, it might just be the incentive she needs to follow through

The child support stops when THE COURT ORDER IS SIGNED, not before. If there is no court order signed by a judge severing the parental rights, then the obligation for child support is still in full force and effect.
