question about cricket spin bowling?

hello all...i'm a left handed spin bowler and i spin the ball away from the right hander basically some people have accused me of throwing it whilst other say it is fine i use a wristy action which maybe why they think i throw it any tips on improving my action so it doesn't look like a throw?! cheers all :o)

Consulting a cricket coach, who can see your action is possibly the best - as well as getting someone to video your action from a few different angles, so you'll have a better view of what might make it look as though you're throwing.

The other important thing to be wary of is whether you have a bent arm during the delivery action, even if slight, that then straightens through the final rotation. That's what has generally alerted umpires to suspect actions.

If your action is slightly suspect, it may just be a minor adjustment to correct it - but do fix it to avoid problems becoming completely ingrained.

Tie a stick or a piece of cardboard on your elbow to keep it straight.

Don't try to spin while doing this. Just bowl medium pace until you are confident that you don't straighten your elbow.

ask someone to take a video of you when you bowl then improve your action

try ti spin the ball more with ur fingers rather than wrist but to be honest u can not use ur wrist unless u bend ur elbow
