I am soon to graduate in less than 3 or so months and so far have not one solid plan on what to do. I have taken the SATs a couple times and was going to apply to a certain school but never submitted the application. I also had the idea of joining the armed forces, Marines, since my cousin was also joining and heard some good things out of it. Currently right now, I have average grades as I did not try much at all in high school, Every class I've taken my goal is to achieve the minimum passing grade, but I haven't slacked to much to fail a class. Now that I think of it, High school is very easy and I know I cannot slacked at all in college.

So should I just join the Marines and hope for the best or go to college and maybe struggle or what is there left to do?

Do what you think you'd like to do, what do you enjoy doing? Try to get in a career that will teach you, and pay you well down the road...

There is a college out there for everyone, so don't feel like you can't do it. Luckily I had parents who forced me to go to college, because when I was 17 I didn't realize how society treats people with college degrees much better than ones who only went to high school. It will improve your earnings, but more importantly, it changes your outlook and the way others view you. It's not fair, because lots of people can't go to college for good reasons - financial, family, etc. - but people treat people without a college degree poorly and think it reflects a lack of effort or intelligence. Student loans are a good start to financing it - it seems like a lot of money to borrow but in the long run it's worth every penny. People who put it off usually don't end up finishing college, so beware of procrastination. Good luck, and I hope you go to college because I think you will be happier down the road.

Figure out what you do best, and what comes easiest for you. That will be your life's calling.

Good luck!
