Who says they're not getting respect? They're #3 in the country! Fans always think their team is disrespected. It's nuts. Anyway... they stand a good chance since North Carolina and Florida lost over the weekend, but they have the same record as A&M and A&M beat them. No conference is getting two top seeds, so, unless A&M loses again, Kansas won't get it. But, they still have a good shot: UCLA and OSU are pretty much locks, so that leaves - UNC, Florida, Wisc., A&M, and Kansas in the mix for the last two.

I think there's still a very slight chance they nab that seed, but they've only played 3 ranked teams for an overall strength of schedule of, get this, 63...thus the RPI has them sitting in the 16th slot behind 9-loss Arizona. I do doubt they'll get the seed as a result, barring major upsets in the last few weeks/conference tourneys. They will be a legit contender to at least make the Final Four, but don't be too hurt if they have to make it there as a 2, or even 3 seed...it doesn't mean they can't do it!

I think if you read the papers last night, people were so impressed by the Ohio State-Wisconsin game that they forgot how well Kansas has played lately. I would say one thing, though. Their RPI is 12. That needs to go up some before the 11th. I would say if Kansas wins the Big 12 tournament, one of the Ohio State-Wisconsin duo gets bounced early in the Big Ten, and someone else wins the SEC other than Florida, Kansas gets a one. Souther Illinois has a higher RPI right now.

I believe it is due to the Big 12 as a conference. They are definitely haveing a down year except for Texas and Texas A&M.
They are one of my picks for Final Four and deserve more credit then they are receiving.
They beat Florida on the road when the Gators were ranked Number 1.
They beat Oklahoma State when they were ranked Number 9
They only lost to A&M by 3.
I can see this team getting a 1 seed and hopefully they get it.

Because we've lost four games when other teams have lost three. The fact is, we're lucky to be getting respect as a second seed contender when our RPI is 14. If we win the conference, though, we are projected to get a #1 seed.
