I don't know about you, but there was this person back in middle school who thought I was a loser, but when I wore some cool clothes they started talking to me and acted like they were my friends. I even noticed this in day to day life, when I wore some cheap clothes to work or even school people wouldn't talk to me, but surprisingly if I wear something new, thier opinions change. i want to know, do people always think like this?

the fact is, you will be judged for the rest of your life on the basis of what you wear.

the other fact is that you will judge others for the rest of your life on the basis of what they wear.

even if you are not a "label snob", you will look at someone wearing clothes that are ratty and dirty and assume that they are most likely poor. that is a judgement.

you will look at someone in a suit and judge that they are probably a sucessful business person and are good at what they do.

if you are going to make in in the business world you MUST dress the part. you cannot walk into an important meeting with your client wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt. they will assume that you do not take your job seriously and then will take their business somewhere that cares about appearences.

good luck to you.

Yes surprisingly most people make first impression by your apperance. And people that took to you when you wore new clothes. Wouldn't be people that you should try and be friends with. Because if you don't dress right. How do you know they won't dump you off?

Sadly, most people have been in that same situation at least once. But I think it's all in the attitude. You should just wear what you like, regardless of what other people think, but try to look confident and comfortable in it. It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it.

Sad to say, but yes. First impressions are based on outward appearances. That's why its always a good idea to dress your best. Yes, it is a little shallow, but that is how people base their opinnions.

YES

Clothes make the man - is somewhat true.

The way YOU present yourself to others does have an effect on how they perceive you. Whether you like it or not, the better dressed you are the more people think you care about and like yourself. If YOU value yourself - they tend to also.
