A Little known fact is the origination of the name "Tarheels." Back in the revolutionary war, when the redcoats were pushing, some soldiers fought as if they had "tar on their heels." Hence the name "Tarheels." To honor those soldiers, all leagues should have a team named after the Tarheels.

I think due to the increase of Disney Channel watchers, the Wildcats might do well. Try names from the WNBA, like the Liberty, or maybe some thing the girls like, like the Stallions (not ponies).

I played on a summer league team one summer,Our Coach was a man in his 40's he had no children of his own so he named our team My Boys.Maybe you could flip it around and call your team My Girls.
