If you are using an old PC that came with a 20GB drive then your probably shouldn't install Vista on it. If you are building a new PC from scratch get the largest hard drive you can possibly afford. 200GB drives are as low as $50 nowadays. Even so, I personally would hold off on Vista until the first service pack comes out and the driver support is better.

Nobody makes computers with such a small drive anymore. In fact, it's hard to find such a small drive.

OH, thinking about using old parts? I recommend against that. If you go with 6 year old parts, they might only last 9... that means that you are doing this to work for just 3 years. GO WITH NEW, so you reap the full benefit of the new parts. Pick quality parts, so it WORKS.

HEY, I was at Wal-mart just yesterday. They had an e-Machine with flat panel monitor and Windows Vista, all for under $499. Maybe you should look at CHEAP instead of CRAPPY.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Windows vista requires much more performance from the computer otherwise it hangs up alot. It works wonderful as long as the computer is a high speed machine with lots of room.
I have a pentium 4 pc with about 2.5ghz, and 124mb graphics card and only get a rating of 3.0 out of a 6.0.

If a 3D game can take 5 GB, then why an OS like Vista can't take 20 GB as now a days hardwares are very cheap?
