I've the same kind of voice, but basically practice will leave you able to sing any song. I can manage Van Morrison just as well as Peter Green, even Bono if I want to, or take a stab at improving a the Who song... and loads more.
Personally I prefer to sing along to any song sung by Stevie Nicks, even though my voice doesn't sound anything like hers.

You could try Lovin You by Minnie Riperton. Its a soft beautiful song. Watch out for the highnote though!
