Is this really a course of action that Bush and Cheney want to follow. What is wrong with these guys? They seem to have a pathological desire to declare war on anyone who doesn't bow down and do exactly as they are told. The sooner 2008 arrives the better. The world is a dangerous place with idiots like those two in power of the most powerful country in the world. There is, however, a breaking point at which point the US will have overextended their power and financial means to wage war. I don't want to see what will happen at that point. Unfortunately, Bush and Cheney seem to have the opinion that no one can mess with the States. Will this abuse of power end in 2008 or will it continue?

Interesting perspective Shawn M. I would like to hear the Iraqi people's perception on the world being a safer place for the past 6 years. Yes, Saddam was a tyrant and dictator, but I think the average Iraqi had a safer existence under his regime than the anarchy created by the coalition forces.

Just by the way: over 60,000 Iraqi civilians have become casualties of the war in Iraq. Do you think that their anger towards the west has made the world safer? I think not.

Currently, it looks more likely that Israel will attack Iran. Especially considering that 3 gulf states just gave them permission to fly over their land on the way to Iran. The US, being their ally, is just moving forces into place to assist them if it comes to that.

Israel did the same thing to Iraq in the 1980s, so it is probable that they will do it again.

Iran has been at war with the US for a while now.

You have it all backwards, we're not the ones looking for the world to bow down and do what we say. That would be RADICAL ISLAM.

The world was dangerous before, and will be after President GW Bush leaves office. The difference is, that through our actions with the coalition countries, the world has been slightly safer over the last 6 years. There still have been bombings in Indonesia, The Philippines, England, Spain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and many other countries.

Do you really believe that we would be safer if we had not gone to war in the middle east?

Abuse of power? I hope you're not one of those people that subscribe to the idea that there's a big conspiracy afoot. That's utter lunacy. Are you a defeatist? Do you believe that everything will be fine once the US pulls out?

No, I don't think we will attack Iran. We need to be more worried about Terroists and protecting ourselves than Iraq or Iran. The nuclear weapons of Iran will not destroy us, as we would get them first. Besides, most of our troops are in Iraq helping them. Go figure!

It's the Bush administration saying "look over there, it's a dinosaur!" to distract attention from the botched up failure that is Iraq and the GOP.
