I think the world is just as dangerous as it's always been, just you hear about the dangers more often because we have become a society that information can be communicated more easily so you hear of the dangers no matter how small or big.

I think living through the world war wars would have been a far more dangerous time. constant air raids and other attacks, then having to live and work around lot's of city's that are being rebuilt, which may still contain live munitions.

Also if you needed help in the past it was a lot harder to get hold of someone which is why I think this mobile phone age is a great thing.

So in summery really I don't think the world is anymore dangerous than it has ever been.

News is just more reported.

No It is not. There is more understanding between the countries. They know the consequences of war and peace. More cooperation and more scientific innovation is there. Faster communication better health aids are available so It has become less dangerous than that it was just 30 years ago.

Hi slightly Peeved,

No! I do not think the world is any different now then it was 30 years ago- There is nothing new under the sun, just a different way of doing it. Also the news travel faster now because of technology. Good Question

I think there is wider media coverage of crime and violence than thirty years ago and more crimes to be committed than there were back then. I think we are a society fascinated by crime and violence. I don't think however the world is necessarily a more dangerous place we. As a society we are just made more aware of what is taking place around us.

Oh yes never had to lock our doors or worry who you were standing next to, as kids we spoke and took sweets from strangers, went out all day and our parents didn't worry where we were, these days if you see a stranger coming to your door you wont answer it, wont even speak to the person next to you in the doctors surgery let alone the street, its become a sad sad world
