I know a lot of people ask this question, but I am seriously conflicted. Next year I will be attending a state college in Florida, and I have no clue what I want to major in. I was thinking political science because I might want to go to law school, but that seems kind of cliché for major choice. Most people say "just go with what you like"... but the problem is I like EVERYTHING. ha. Oh well, I know nobody can tell me what I should do, but I always like to hear input. Thanks : )

ha, yeah I would go undecided, but apparently it isn't an option in the florida school system... apparently they have a problem with people taking too long to graduate, so they try to expedite the process... oh well, I can always change it. Thanks for your help!

There are two good approaches:
First, don't declare a major; begin with your General Ed requirements and hope things get more clear as time goes on. Those General Eds are usually transferrable, so you're chipping away at your goal no matter what you eventually decide.
Or, take some time off, do something in the world, and see how that changes your perspective. I couldn't decide on a major (and switched majors several times). Finally I took some time off and spent 18 months as a volunteer overseas. I came back knowing what I really wanted to study: theology. I've never regretted that choice.

There is nothing wrong with changing your major. I'm a 4th year at a private college and I just changed my major, again. I would suggest going undecided for the first year if you must declare then while taking your gen eds take a few additional courses (100 level of course) in a few of the subjects you really like and narrow it down from there. I knew after 1 class that I hated education and didn't want to be a teacher forever or ever.

Got for Engineering if you don't hate math and science. Believe it or not, if you have an engineering degree, you will have a lot more internship opportunities during college yr over the other major. Job market wise, you can make more, and find job easier.
company nowaday, eventho business position wise, they rather hire a engineer to do business paper work instead of someone with business degree. Because you will acquire the logical and theoratical skill such as operation a machine or management in other area in a proper way. Lets put it in example, why one time the Motorola V3 black sells more than the Silver, and people willing to pay more, just because its black. But you will acquire more of those skills to ask "why did it happen? how can i fix the error"
Tho, why people doesnt choose it if it had that much advantage? cuz it freaking hard... engineering nowaday require lvl 6 or 7 calculus to graduate, along with high lvl physic, chem, and most of them require Computer Programing language such as Java or C++

i imagine Lee is tremendous! he's an excellent participant...has an excellent personality, and is tremendous for the game of golfing....yet Lee isn't a pedal to the medal, nostril to the grindstone, fearless foot on your throat type of competitor it really is needed to be to win a significant. He don't have one among those sport the position he can open a 6 or 7 shot lead in round a million and then in simple terms stay out in the front for 3 extra days...I also imagine he will truly harm his possibilities to win a significant by playing in Europe virtually exclusivley as he said he would....3 of the majors are interior the US....u gotta prep interior the US for them, no longer in Europe....

no one can tell you what to do. it's your life and your decision. take general courses your first year. you still have to have certain courses (English, math, PE) no matter what you major in. go to the guidance office of the college and see if they have a career center where you can take assessment tests. that might give you a direction. you don't have to declare a major til your second year.

it doesn't matter for your 1st year since you have to take general education anyway. You can have up to 2 years without a major at most schools. Just choose "exploration" and pick it when you know that's what you want to do.

You can be undeclared and take the core classes until you figure out what you want to major in.
Even though political science is cliche, dont not do it because of that reason.

declare undecided and take the basic courses, the ones that ALL majors require. Then dabble here and there... you have until your Junior year to declare, so play the field.
