Obivously when it comes to the post-season numbers, Brady takes the cake on that because Manning only has the one ring. But if rings were everything, most of us would've never heard of a guy from Miami named Dan Marino.
People, the NUMBERS DON'T LIE.
I'm a firm believer that rings aren't everything. Manning overrall is the better QB. Brady is the subject of a system that I think if you plug any decent QB into they're going to get the numbers. Since 98, Manning has averaged a 94.4 passer rating (in 2004 had a 121.1 rating and has been in the hundreds every year since). Brady since 2000 has averaged just an 88.4 rating (his highest a 92 in 2004).
If I'm going for a QB who has the best skill and can lead my team, I'm going with Manning. He's one of the most accurate, productive QB's of all-time. And I was glad to see him finally win the big one so he wouldn't be stuck in the Dan Marino catagory.
Shallow sports fans who don't know what they're talking about only pay attention to championships instead of talent. Manning does more then compare, he overshadows. And when he retires the record books will show it.

Overall the pick has to go to Tom Brady by a landslide. Tom is a couple years younger than Peyton and he has 2 more rings comparing them (3-1). Also, Peyton Manning tends to be under pressure and MOST of the time he chokes under pressure, that is one of his main major disadvantages. Also, Tom Brady has no defense and offense to cover him, he is always playing around a 4 out of 10 rated team. Peyton Manning plays on the Colts which is full of top players year in year out. Tom Brady was drafted the year after Peyton so his more rings shows something very essential in this comparison. Tom Brady is a very good clutch QB and will get you through at the very end, I mean look at Super Bowl Wins 36 and 38, now that is something to ponder on in this comparison. Tom Brady wins over Peyton Manning by a landslide. [But they're still both going into the NFL Hall of Fame.]

Brady is still in control. People forget very quickly that Peyton Manning had choked in every big situation before coming in to this year's playoffs. Had he lost the Superbowl this year, he would be remembered as one of the all time "great stats, no titles" guys in history. And, truth be told, he didn't perform particularly well in the playoffs. Tom Brady has been leading inferior teams to more titles. Manning has had Marvin Harrison, Edge James, and Reggie Wayne. The only weapon Brady ever acquired was an aging Corey Dillon (who just retied, btw). Manning did less more talent around him, and Brady did more with less talent. Manning may have saved his legacy with this superbowl win, but sir, he is no Tom Brady.

I think Peyton has always been better than Brady as a quarterback, but now that he has won a superbowl, he wins the comparison hands down. Before, Brady won a superbowl and by default gave him the upperhand, now that Manning has he is better. He always was, this just gives him some icing on the cake.

we could look into stats beginning with the 2001 season. (I do have a Brady bias, yet i will attempt and placed that aside) video games began: Brady: ninety 5 Manning: ninety six Winner: Tie (Brady did not start up till the 2d sport of the 2001 season) pass tries / Completions / proportion: Brady: 3063 / 1895 / sixty one.9% Manning: 3211 / 2117 / sixty 5.9% Winner: Manning (reasonable) Passing Yards: Brady: 21558 Manning: 25299 Winner: Manning Touchdowns: Brady: 147 Manning: one hundred ninety Winner: Manning Interceptions: Brady: seventy 8 Manning: 80 one Winner: Brady (reasonable) Passer rankings: Brady: 88.4 Manning: ninety 9.a million Winner: Manning participant for participant, Manning is the extra effective participant. we could examine how they have been able to help the group as an entire. group records: NE: 70-26 (seventy two.9%) IND: sixty six-30 (sixty 8.8%) Winner: NE (reasonable) Playoff Appearances: NE: 5 IND: 5 Winner: Tie Playoff records: NE: 12-2 (80 5.7%) IND: 7-4 (fifty 8.3%) Winner: NE super Bowl Wins: NE: 3 IND: a million Winner: NE interior the group class, Brady stands proud. interior a similar sort of Playoff appearances, the Pats have had 12 wins that's an conventional of performing interior the AFC Championship each and each playoffs. they have additionally had extra super Bowl wins, at 3. I won't argue that as a participant Peyton Manning is the desirable QB interior the league superb now. Brady's power is that he makes the desirable of his skill and the group effects show that.

With Manning over the "can't win the big game" issue as well as his recent owning of the Patriots, Brady's mystique and the Patriots' sense of invulnerability has taken a seriously big hit.
Brady has the three SB rings in his short but illustrious career. He has shown that he is a proven winner, but his wins in the SB have been more like escapes with Vinatieri's foot than well-defined victories. However, many fans will look not only to wins but stats, and this is where Brady is blown away. Brady's year ended with 3529 passing yards, 24 TDs, 12 INTs, and a passer rating of 87.9 to go with 102 rushing yards with 0 TDs. Manning finished the regular season with 4397 yards, 31 TDs, 9 INTs, and a QB rating of 101.0 as well as 36 rushing yards with 4 TDs. Checking career lines, Brady is at 21564 yards, 147 TDs, and 78 INTs while Manning has 37586 passing yards, 275 TDs, and 139 INTs. Experts and fans are already looking at Manning taking away every passing record owned by Marino (and soon to be Favre) to go with his newly acquired hardware.
Brady has barely a slight edge due to three wins, but with Belichick's system apparently figured out by the Colts, the edge will quickly diminish and ultimately end with Brady falling behind Manning in the end.

correction, the Colts have one their first SB (in Indy), and the Pats have won 3 SBs.
Peyton has already been a better QB than Tom Brady. He's statistically much better and has the mind of an offensive coordinator.
wow, it seems a Brady fan has given all the peyton answers thumbs down and brady thumbs up..........real mature people

Tom still has a better career thus far. More Super Bowl wins and with less fantastic receivers at his disposal. Until Peyton wins one or two more, I'm going with Tom.
