Children use these websites as much, if not more, than adults. So, no, I do not think swearing should be published here.
It takes time to print out a swear word that could easily be left out.
Occasionally, a swear word seems necessary to get the point across, but, I try not to use them. Failed a couple of times, but I try my best!

Hi tha Badger,
I very rarely swear myself (although I dislocated my little toe kicking the door last month and, well...
Other people swearing doesn't offend me, however, I wouldn't feel it necessary to use bad language on this site, although I sometimes use the odd swear word in private when writing to a friend, but not much even then...
Not answered , have I? Well, no then!

I try not to swear much myself. In life off the web , just like on answers, with some it just gets to be a little much. Then there are those times when it is the only appropriate way to express your self.

No. Is it really that hard to write one sentance without swearing? People can express themselves without vulgarity. Sure there's free speach, but what about respect and common curtesty? Besides that I'm sure there are young adults or even children on here and Yahoo! Answers should be somewhere that doesn't need sensored.

No. I think there should be a fine for swearing in public. It's a foul habit and I hate it. Swearing should be reserved for when I drop heavy things on my foot or when some other disaster strikes. Bad language is neither big nor clever.
That is my opinion you ****************!

of course. the internet is so impersonal. swearing should actually be encouraged so readers can pick up the tone and emotion someone is trying to communicate to the receiving end. adjectives make our emotions more accurate to read. how can language be limited? parents arent stupid, they know what's available online. they can keep their kids away if they wanted.

Yes, I do.
They could work it like the old message boards and have the option of a profanity blocker for people with virgin ears.
