I like Columbo and Poirot. I probably like them equally. I wish that Peter Falk would make one more Columbo. The last one he made was good but I think he should have one more crack at it before he is no longer part of the acting game. Give Columbo a good final episode to go out on. Perhaps, something about the detective retiring from the police force and coming across one last murder that he has to solve without police help.

I really love the writing of Columbo as you know who has done it straight away and so does he but watching him unravel the murderer is fantastic. It dos not seem to matter that we know who did it and that is the greatness of good writing and exellent acting Peter Falk is Columbo and Calumbo is Peter Falk period.

He's good... but is he as good as Quincy? They both are pretty even in skill...
As Harry Hill may say: "There's only one way to find out - fight!"

And yes they will fight. Columbo versus Quincy!

They fight by throwing monkeys at each other! It's a fun game and it's FREE!

And yes Peter Falk is awesome.

My daughter thinks I am absolutly crackers cos I think he is gorgeous. But I have never been one for looks . I think the character is just brilliant. Peter Falk himself comes across as really nice as well. Did you know his wife made him do another Columbo because `he was getting under her feet`.

yeah great television coach Columbo. Do you all bear in mind the canines he had with the huge floppy ears and wasnt it humorous whilst he pulls as much as the crime scene interior the previous vehicle that often desires something fastened?

It's good for the first 20 times you watch it. But because I'm getting on a bit, I'm on about my 30th time of each episode so it's getting a bit old for me now. And the poor bugger is always the last to know who the murderer is! LOL

being an oldie i remember him when he first came out and he was well unique and i don't know if it is me but a detective called monk seems to work in the same haphazard way .but seeing that monk is one of these clean and tidy freaks (obsessive, compulsive disorder) i don't think they would of worked together well.
