If its only a little over full, don't worry about it. You didn't say how far up the dip stick the oil was. When you check it, DON'T have the engine running and first wipe off the stick before you measure.

Never siphon oil out of your engine block. The best thing to do is to drain it through the drain plug directly below the oil pan.

Just loosen the plug and pull it out but hold it in your hand.

Let some drain out, then plug it back in and give it a few turns without fully tightening it.

Check the oil, and repeat if necessary.
Once the oil level is ok, don't forget to fully tighten the plug.

Loosen the oil filter, remove the coil wire, crank the engine until the amount you need to remove has been pumped out of the engine, then tighten the oil filter.

You can't siphon it, but you can use a little hand pump or drill powered pump with some clear 1/4" tubing through the dipstick hole to get some out. 1/2 quart overfull is OK, but more than a quart and you could be looking at trouble.

you don't siphon it out, you drain it out utilizing the drain plug on the oil pan using a clear measuring cup or container. i hope you didn't start the car, you can ruin the engine if started with too much oil.
