ok so the formula for area is LxW. We know the area is 80, so 80=(L)W. We also know that the legnth is 2 more than the width, so this means W=L+2, therefore, 80=L(L+2), or 80=L^2+2L. You should be able to figure the rest out from here.

Let width be x
so length is x+2
Area of rectangle = l x w
80=(x+2)x
Solve to get x
Then x+2 is the length.
