Who is better than the other?
Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs or
Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks?
Is it the Big Easy and the 3 time NBA champs or
the smooth shooting German and the last year's West Champs?

I'll go with the Mavs....there freakin hot.
while the spurs has been inconsistent.

I´m a Spurs fan so im gonna say spurs
but mavz are really playing great, they have lots of ofense a good point guard, dirk of course.
On the other side there is Timy Duncan, parker and ginobili if you seen pass 5 games you have seen fast pace offense although they were against bad teams, if spurs want a championship they need a center and a companion to tim D

Duncan Has Consistency but this year you would have 2 go Dirk and the Mavs............... What about Phoenix?????? can anyone really stop those two plays the Suns run??? The nash to Stoudamire pick and roll at the top of the key with stoudamire finishing 8 times out of 10 with a monster dunk or a sick lay up off glass or the two man game that Diaw and Marion run where both are freed up for a jumper or open lane to the rack depends on who iniating the play (diaw majority is the initiator with marion the finisher

Right now everyone is picking the Mavs, I'm going to be one of only two people bold enough to pick the Spurs. They still have the experience, the heart, and a leader in Tim Duncan. I trust Duncan to be clutch in big moments more than I do Dirk.

Mavs are better than the Spurs because of the matchup, but Duncan is a better player than Dirk. And who cares about the suns, they werent mentioned in this question.

One look at the standings will clearly tell you who the better team is. The Spurs are not the championship team they used to be. They are looking extremely old these days with several guys just hanging on to a career. Did somebody say that the Spurs have the better all around team? That's insane!!

dirk nowitzki is definetly better than tim duncan. nowitzki can shoot from anywhere. duncan can only make short shots. dirk is also leading his team for the best record in the nba, and is ovbiously going to recieve more mvp votes than duncan, so i am going with dirk
dont forget about amare.he is the third best forward/center after these guys

I'm going to have go with Dallas on this one. their record is amazing and they have so much momentum and confidence going into the post season. I'd take them hands down as long as Dirk is healthy and playing his best.
