I had a webcam plugged in, and the computer recognized it, but wouldn't let me click on the icon to run it. Now, whenever I plug the webcam in, the computer doesn't even detect it. The CD that came with it already says the program is installed, so I don't think that could be it. I've tried other USB ports, but still no detection.

Help?

I've removed the software for the webcam, but whenever I try to re-install it, it says it's still installed.

A couple things you can try.

1: UNinstall the driver software, then SHUT DOWN your computer (NOT Restart)
Wiat a couple minutes at least, then turn computer on and REinstall the drivers software.

2: Go to webcam's manufacturer's website and download the LATEST driver software for your model webcam.
