So i dated this dude who had a small penis, and I was describing to someone what a jerk he was to me during the time, my friend said, that he must have some kind of complex. Does his attitude have something to do with his penis size? He was a big douche bag! Pretty immature and seemingly insecure. He knew that his penis was small because he once said something about the size in bed, like a self depreciating comment about it once in bed.....

You didn't mention his age.
He may not be mature (penis size, non withstanding).
However, there may be a degree of truth in that some guys who are equipped with small gear will try to compensate with a big ego (or something like that).
A lot of stupid, ignorant guys are taking steroids.
Guess what?
Those drugs shrink the willie.
And the same drugs make normal people more prone to anger and violence.
Make sure your next guy isn't using steroids.
Now, as far as small gear goes, its not the size of the tool but the ability of the tool-handler.
A man with a small penis can still be a great lover.

Its very hard for the guy with a small penis. He really has no where to turn to.
I mean lets be honest here, Its really hard to respect a guy with a small penis and I know most guys don't in their heart of hearts. I know people say that "its not the size that matters... blah, blah, blah" but really if you knew a guy who had a small penis you would treat him with less respect than you would with say someone with a normal penis. This is the truth of the matter whether people want to admit it or not.
So I would say check out the guys penis before you get serious with him. Ditch him at the first sight if he is too small. I know it's cruel but you've got to put these people in their place sooner rather than later.

It's similar to the "short guy" complex. Men are validated by how tall they are, the size of their penis, how much money they make. If they fall short in one or more of these areas, they try to compensate in other areas, usually making them obnoxious and annoying.

if he didnt have much a personality then maybe he thought sex was the only way to make you happy/ when you took that away it was like you made it worse/ guys with large penises ussually have better self esteem

Guys who are experienced and have a small weenie, know how to use it, and use it right! he is probably not good in bed. You need to find a guy who knows how to please you, and take care of himself later. Guys who are good in bed don't brag. They are just confident.
