7x=1-x=19
I need help with this problem can anyone give me the answer to the two x variables.

The answer is false. You're supposed to break up the two equations 1. 7X=19 2. 1-X=19 and then solve both.
1. X=2.7142
2. X=-18
Then it is asking if they are the same (you don't get two answers for X because X is supposed to represent the same number in both equations) Since they are not, the answer is "false."

first lets solve 7x=1-x ( and the answer will obviously equal 19)

7x+x=1
8x-1

therefore 8x-1= 19
8x=19+1
8x= 20
x= 20/8
x= 5/2

usually if x is used twice in one problem, it's the same value both times, but it doesn't work with this one. I don't know what else to tell you, sorry

i think x= 2.5
