how does the check cashing place verify your check?

All I need is a bank statement but how are they verifying things?

Most of them will call up your place of employment to verify that you do work there, and plus, like they really care, because once they have your bank info, you're going to owe them regardless and it'll be with 400% interest! Don't get stuck in the cycle, I did back then and I'm still paying for it - literally!
