Treat customers the way you'd expect to be treated by any store or restaurant employee. Courtesy, respect, and consideration.

As a former call center manager here are a few tips. Empathize, listen ( actively ), show compassion only when needed, don't point the finger, smile when talking to a customer, accept responsibilty of the situation, properly educate, don't talk over the customer, let a customer get the situation off their chest, do not take it personally, do not take the baggage from one call to the next, and leave all personal problems outside the workplace. I hope this helps!

It means being a good listener and also you need to let them know you understand that keeping their customers happy is critical to the success of their company.

• Be a warm friendly person. Greet people with a hello and a smile.

• The ability to be articulate when communicating with people.

• Being able to remain calm when emotions are running high.

• You do not take things personally when someone is complaining to you. Never allow your emotions to escalate a situation.

• Be empathetic. Be able to understand where their frustration is coming from and then you can deal with it more effectively.

• never use profanity.

Good luck on your interview.... Post back and let us know if you got the job!
