Ok, I'm warning you all now.. beware. lol..

I went to the restroom about 45 mins ago and when I got done using the bathroom, My panties were soaked.. I asked a couple of women that I work(this is my 1st pregnancy)what it could be. Most of them said I'm leaking. I know what that means. My husband, my mom and everyone else is telling me to call my doctor and at least tell her.. I see her at 8:45 in the morning. I have had contractions but, they only last for about 15 seconds and are about 40-50 mins apart. My last one was at 3:22pm. I was just curious on some opinions. Thanks so much.

You water could have broken which would mean you should call your Dr. Just because your water has broken does't mean that you will naturally go into labor. You Should call the Dr. If your water broke and you do not go into labor it can increase the risk of infectiuon to you and the baby. I think at 38 weeks you should head to the hospital and get ready for a baby!

The same thing happened to me when I was 38 weeks along with my son - I was leaking fluid to the point where it was soaking through pads every hour. I went to the hospital that night (it was a weekend otherwise I'd have gone to my ob/gyn's office, and they checked to see if my membranes had ruptured. They hadn't at that point, but told me to keep an eye on it. If it didn't stop, call again. They told me that some women have a huge increase in discharge a couple of days before they go into labor. 36 hours later I was still leaking fluid, so I made an appointment to see my doctor, and sometime between 11pm Saturday and 11am on Monday my water had broken. Since we didn't know when the actual changeover from the "leaking" discharge to actual amniotic fluid was, they induced me to prevent infection. So even if you go to the doctor and find out your water hasn't broken yet, there's a really good chance that you will have your baby in the next few days. Good luck!

When your contractions get closer together and a little stronger and you know that they are coming regularly then I would call. Now if you start losing a lot more amniotic fluid I would call, otherwise there is really nothing they will do for you at the hospital, stay home and feel more relaxed before they hook you up to fetal monitors and so on, and you can't move around freely.

Good luck

Call you r doctor. If you are having leaking and contractions you maybe getting ready to have that baby. 38 weeks is perfectly normal. You want to be checked out anyway because if you do have a rupture you do not want to get an infection. CONGRATS and hope all goes well, mamma

You HAVE to call your doctor. If your water broke they will want you to have the baby within 24 hours to lower the risk of infection. If you wait until tomorrow it may be too late and they may have to give you a c-section to keep within the time frame. There are simple tests they can do to make sure that is what it is. But call. Good luck

Your doctor needs to know. Your doc will more than likely perfom an ultra sound to measure the fluid around the baby. If you are leaking fluid doc may want to deliver baby now. 38 weeks is considered full term.

When I was due with my third, one night I was asleep and I woke up and my underwear was all wet. So we went to labor and delivery. They just stuck a strip of paper up me to check whether it was fluid from around the baby or not. I swear I didn't pee myself, but they didn't believe me. And it tested as not being the right kind of fluid for my water to have broke. Anyway, I would just go to the hospital if I were you, better than to get an infection like my friend did when her water broke and she didn't go.

When I went into labor, I had the same questions. My godmother told me..."If you can count anything thats worth counting, its a really good bet that you're in labor". I was really eratic w/ my contraction times and levels, but as time progressed, they started to becoming closer together. You may want to get ready to go home at this point!

Good luck!!!

I went to the hospital when I was about 36 weeks because I was leaking something. Turns out it was urine. The baby was pushing on my bladder. It wouldn't hurt to go get checked out, but don't be surprised if you're just leaking pee! LOL!

I think you need to go see your doctor. My mother was pregnant with my third brother and her water broke while at home. She ended up in labor a few hours later and had him. Congrats on the baby!
