I'm confused because of all these different answers.

If your answer was chosen best, you get 1 point for each thumb up, up to 50. Nothing happens to thumbs down.

I never have lost points that way. Someone's always giving me thumbs down. Even when I get a Best Answer there will be a thumbs down on it.

I don't think you lose points from a thumbs down but if you get a thumbs up and your answer is CHOSEN as best answer you get a point. ONLY IF YOUR THUMBS UP QUESTION IS PICKED AS BEST ANSWER DO YOU GET A POINT FOR THE THUMBS UP.

You get 1 point for every thumbs up but you don't loose points for a thumbs down.

No you don't lose points for getting thumbs down and yes you do gain points by getting thumbs up.
