Should Britain use military style law enforcement in stead of the soft approach we have today?

In Britian now we have higher crime rates, children are becoming more and more thug like. Brittish culture that was once world re-nowned has all but gone! Is this because of how soft the govenment has become and the police are literarly powerless to stop the CHAV masses and the other memebers of society that have become unacceptalbe. I belive that things should,be whiped in to shape and more forceful devices should be used against this threat to biritish greatness! Is there anyone out there who agrees with me that biritsh culuture seems to be vanashing and that we need to bring the masses back in to line!

I agree with you, the decent people are loosing confidence in government not just Labour, Tories as well and probably Lib/Dem too. That doesn't leave much left unless a new tough political party is formed and that is not likely as the present parties has ruled the roost since parliament was formed. It looks like we just carry on being abused by every criminal in the book

The real deal is that Brittain is soup. The denizens of militants that the world allies team calls military is on the last edge. There

Polititians have caused the Britian of today, they have made the rights of everyone else with a minor interest more importaint than that of a UK citizen, they are even trying to brainwash us into thinking we are European (thats a hoot) on top of that they have over the last 15 years taxed us to the edge of the abyss, the man on the street has had enough he does not care anymore as he has nothing to loose, what is the government going to do send sixty milion people to jail (least everyone would then get fed and paid and all legal expenses free as we treat our criminals with utmost respect) we need a different type of politics in the UK, I love the USA system but it's not for the UK but certain parts of it are we should overhaul taxation reducing it for everyone.
Remember government is supposed to be
FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE.
if you sacked all the useless mouths in government services and the NHS there would be more than enough money to go around.
Here's a radical thought only british people to get free NHS treatment anyone else has to get medical insurance and pay that would save a billion or two or three

Britain is a police state that has forgotten the basic principles of what it means to be a free Englishman. Only a fool believes prisons, punishment and curtailment of liberty create long lasting security. Its a social issue and until its recognized as one and delt with accordingly, you guys will have cameras watching you even when you pee. The very things you speak of as solutions are the very things that created the greatest product of Britain : THE USA (After we were forced to hang Tories to get our birth right to freedom back. Not the modern police state America which Britain has also influenced).

Security, responsible citizens, and prosperity are the byproduct of liberty not vice versa. You are proposing we go back to the dark ages.

I am a retired 30 year police officer in the United States and my experience has shown me that no amount of law enforcement is going to solve your problem.
Laws are obeyed by voluntary compliance, no one can stop anyone from commiting any crime, they only hold you accountable for what you do.
Try going back to Queen Victoria"s era and raise the children with a since of right and wrong. We have lost the ability in the free world to make sure our children are raised with the sense of just doing what is right and condeming what is wrong.
We are now more concerned with "Quality of Life" issues and individual human rights than what a healthy society is.

What is British culture? I know what you mean by chav masses but they have a far higher birth rate than any other part of society, a generation gap of just 12 years!!!

you mentioned british greatness, the fall of britain is not the fault of people like chavs who have no voice and no influence. the fall is the fault of those with influence who has sabotaged our greatness,have you forgotton that we are soon t0 be a mere state in the united states of europe. when that happens britain will be in a state of total defeate, and its against the will of the people.britains demoralised state is part and parcel of sabotaging britain, the blaming fingers are pointing every where but look to the television companies as the chief brainwashers of our society, they have slanted and sneered at our religon or anybody who tries to live a good life. send the military in amongst those who have influenced such a rotten system, nazi style soldiers are part of britains captivity, there are those who have wanted this situation to provide them with an excuse to set soldiers against the british people, set the soldiers against the traitors who sabotaged britain for a gravy train in europe, a train that the chavs wont be catching.
