Worked in abortion clinic?

Question

Have u worked in an abortion clinic as a nurse or secretary? If so,, what it the attitude of the females having the aboritons?
Do they care AT ALL...i am sure you see repeats..

Well, I volunteered as a counselor for women in this situation. My experience was that some women were devastated that they were in such a predicament, others were clearly numb, and others weren't emotional at all about it. Often, women who come seeking counseling about this decision feel alone and have no one to talk to about it; they need help figuring out what is truly the best decision for their lives and their families. No one makes such a decision easily, but it isn't as emotional for some as for others. Often, the reason women are emotional about it is because of how they became pregnant--rape or abusive relationships, for example. Of course, some women in the same situation aren't emotional at all; they view the process with relief. Each situation is different as each woman is, and everyone has different issues they need to deal with.

I never personally dealt with any "repeats."

I volunteered for about a year at an abortion clinic as an escort. Not being a counselor or doctor, obviously I didn't get a deep insight into their souls or anything.

I would say most of them were a nervous, as you'd expect from someone going in for minor surgery. Many of them got upset by protestors, but I never escorted anyone who was so upset by the process that they were sobbing or anything. Not to say that there aren't such women... but I suspect that women who would be that sad about it typically don't have abortions.

I escorted a few repeat patients, but because the clinic provided other health services and we weren't told who was there for what, I suspect some were there for other purposes, such as follow-up care etc.

No I haven't but I'm sure the girls who get the abortions are nervous and heartless.
